A South Carolina native, Baillie earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences from Furman University before completing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. While at USC, she was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society, a distinction awarded to the top 15% of graduates in recognition of exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and character.
Following graduation, Baillie completed advanced training in dermatology through the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) Diplomate Fellowship Program, a nationally recognized postgraduate curriculum providing comprehensive education in dermatology.
Baillie remains actively involved in physician assistant education as an Adjunct Professor with the University of South Carolina Physician Assistant program, where she teaches the dermatology curriculum. She also serves as an alumna interviewer for prospective PA students, helping identify and mentor the next generation of physician assistants. Alongside Dr. Leah Spring, Baillie is a clinical mentor within the Capital Skin & Laser Dermatology Physician Assistant Training Program.
Known for her approachable and warm personality, Baillie treats every patient as she would a member of her own family and values her lasting relationships with patients. Baillie is known for her thoroughness and ability to thoughtfully translate evidence-based medicine into effective, practical treatment plans that are easy to understand and follow. She genuinely celebrates with patients as they see meaningful improvements in both their skin and self-confidence.
Outside the clinic, Baillie enjoys reading historical fiction, trying new recipes, fishing with her fiancé, and walking with her miniature schnauzer, Ivy.
Baillie Steele is a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
